DiSC Power Selling

idX Ready

We’ve probably all had selling experiences where we just didn’t click with the customer. More often than not, this apparent lack of chemistry has caused us to lose the sale. But what if we could always identify and adapt to the differences in customers, reduce the likelihood of miscommunication and lost sales, and develop positive relationships with all types of customers? The goal of this program is to help participants understand their own selling tendencies and their customers’ needs so that they can adapt when needed for better results.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
In idXready™ 2.0: Powered Selling, participants will:

  • Discover four basic approaches to selling and identify their most natural approach to selling
  • Identify which approach is most appropriate for each style and discover the similarities and differences among selling styles
  • Learn how preferences drive buying behaviors and discover effective techniques for selling to people with differing styles
  • Understand that customers have diverse needs and learn to adapt communication to build the trust needed to gain commitment for the sale
  • Develop selling strategies and action plans for adapting to different customers’ styles

PROGRAM LENGTH
Approximately 3 - 4 hours. Breaks are not included in this time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q:   Can I use idXready™ programs on more than one computer?
A:   Yes. Your USB drive contains all of the idXready program content and video needed to run the program. This ‘self contained’ model allows you to easily use your idXready program on multiple computers.
Q:  What is “pre-work?”
A:   Pre-work is the work that respondents complete prior to training sessions. The pre-work is sent as a link, or an access code, from your (or your sub-account’s) EPIC account. Respondents click on the link and are asked to respond to several questions. Their responses are then interpreted and incorporated into an individualized Participant Workbook, which you will present to the respondent during your training session.

Q:  Can you run a Group Report, Facilitator Report, or a Team View Report based on the participant’s responses?
A:   Group, Facilitator and Team View Reports are not available at this time, but we expect to announce the availability of these additional reports in the summer of 2007.
Q:  If an idXready™ program uses DiSC® or Team Dimensions, and I have a client who has already taken one of those assessments, can I import their existing data to create their individualized Participant Workbook?
A:   Group, Facilitator and Team View Reports are not available at this time, but we expect to announce the availability of these additional reports in the summer of 2007.
Q:  If an idXready™ program uses DiSC® or Team Dimensions, and I have a client who has already taken one of those assessments, can I import their existing data to create their individualized Participant Workbook?
A:   Not at this time, however, the ability to import response data from a “like” assessment is expected to be announced in the summer of 2007.
Q:  Can I customize idXready™ programs (add or remove pages, slides, etc.) if I don’t think that the entire program fits my client’s needs?
A:   The Participant Workbook is generated through EPIC and is a locked PDF. Beginning in the summer of 2007, we will be announcing the ability to choose to ‘not print’ selected pages, but the page numbers cannot be changed, so removing pages will cause the pagination to be off. The Leader’s Guides are editable and allow you to customize and add/omit facilitation notes as needed. However, if your additions are longer than the space available on the existing page, the pagination of your Leader’s Guide will not be synchronized with the Participant Workbooks and PowerPoint slides. The PowerPoint slides can be edited, or hidden, however, we caution you in doing this, as the edits that you make to the PowerPoint slides will not be reflected in the Participant Workbooks, which may cause confusion in your training sessions.
Q:  How do idXready™ programs work with sub accounts?
A:   Once you purchase an idXready program, whether it is for your use, or your sub account’s use, the Participant Workbook will be added to your product list in EPIC. If you sell an idXready program to an existing sub account, you would add the Participant Workbook to the product list for that sub account using the EPIC Add/Remove product function. If it’s a new sub account, you would follow the process for setting up a new sub account and then add the Participant Workbook during the setup process. See the help section in EPIC for additional information on both of these topics.
Q:  Does idXready™ replace Everything DiSC®?
A:   idXready™ is not meant to replace Everything DiSC. Everything DiSC remains the most comprehensive DiSC resource available, for customized solutions. idXready programs are intended to be “ready-to-go” programs, meaning a novice facilitator should be able to pick up a program and facilitate with confidence, ease, and minimal preparation. The idXready product line is ideal for you to sell through to your clients who are expected to conduct in-house training on their own. idXready programs also allow you to facilitate in areas outside of your expertise with confidence!
Q:  What is the difference between the two Team programs?
A:   Capitalizing on Team Talents™ and Collaborative Skills for Teams both incorporate data from the Team Dimensions 2.0 assessment. Collaborative Skills for Teams is more situational, focusing on an individual’s role as it relates to interpersonal skills, time management, communication, and project management. Capitalizing on Team Talents is geared more towards motivating a team based on their strengths and understanding their limitations.
Q:  Can I email idXready™ reports to participants?
A:   Yes. Since idXready™ rides on EPIC, you have the same abilities to View/Print, Save, or email a Participant Workbook. However, there will probably be very few instances where you will want your participants to have their Participant Workbook prior to a training session, as the information means very little to them outside of the classroom experience.
Q:  Is the video from idXready™ programs available to purchase separately from the programs?
A:   No. The video was designed specifically for each idXready program and is not sold separately.
Q:  Do I need to register my idXready™ program before it can be used?
A:   No, but you will not receive technical support or program updates if your program is not registered.
Q:  Do idXready™ programs work on Macintosh computers?
A:   A Mac version of the idXready program is available for purchase. Please specify Windows or Macintosh when ordering your idXready program.
Q:  Can idXready™ programs be used for virtual training?
A:   idXready programs are designed for classroom training and a majority of the activities require in-person sessions. Due to the high resolution of the video assets contained in each idXready program, it will most likely be a facilitation challenge in a Webinar type of seminar setting, as the streaming and buffering of the video will cause “jerky” playback of the video.
